Chappell Roan started to learn and play piano at the age of ten and shows a deep interest in music. Soon she started taking formal classes and performed for the first time at her school talent show. Start of Musical Carrier:
Chappell created a YouTube channel in 2014 and uploaded her Die Young song for the purpose of getting attention from several record labels. As a result, a year later she signed a contract with Atlantic Records. Years later her grandfather died and she adopted her stage name Chappell Roan in honor of him.
Release of First Single:
She released her first single Good Hurt in 2017, followed by her EP School Nights. A few months later Chappell opened for Vance Joy on his Lay It On Me tour. The next year, she shifted to Los Angeles and started to explore her queer identity, which influenced her artistic evolution.
She released the Pink Pony Club song in 2020, which gave her a huge success in queer culture. Although this song did not get any success in the beginning, at the end of the year, this song became popular and earned the best song of 2020 title by USA Today.
