The real name of SZA is Solana Imani Rowe. She takes inspiration from RZA, an American rapper.

She is a daughter of Audrey Rowe and Abdul-Alim Mubarak-Rowe. Her mother is an executive at the AT&T communications company while her father is an executive producer at the CNN news channel. Her mother believes in christianity and her father is a Muslim. Solana's older brother is also a rapper named Daniel Rowe (Manhattan) and a half sister Tiffany Daniels. She grew up in New Jersey as an Orthodox Muslim.

She went to Columbia High School and also attended Muslim Prep School as well. After completing her high school education in 2008, SZA took admission in Delaware State University to study marine biology. Although she dropped out in her last semester.

Collaboration with Kendrick:

There was a song “All the Stars” released in 2018 by SZA and Kendrick Lamar, which earned a nomination in the Golden Globe Award and Academy Award. This single reached the Top 10 positions in the US and UK.

Collaboration with Doja Cat:

SZA released a single “Kiss Me More”  by the collaboration with Doja Cat in 2021. This song earned a Grammy Award for title Best Pop Duo/Group performance and also broke the record of longest-running female collaboration in the US top ten list.

Solana (SZA) released her second  album “SOS” in 2022. This includes singles such as Good Day, I Hate U, Nobody Gets Me and Snooze. This album remains number one on the Billboard 200 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. This album single “Kill Bill” also earned her a  number one on the Billboard Hot 100 a year later. 

Collaboration with Drake:

SZA collaborated with Drake and released a song “Slime You Out” in 2022. This song theme expresses a toxic relationship and emotional complexities.

She co-wrote the song “Feeling Myself” with Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.
