It was on 7 May 1998 when Dani was born in Terrassa, Barcelona Spain.
Family Background:
Dani’s father is Miquel Olmo who used to be a footballer and coached Girona F.C., Terrassa F.C., and CE Sabadell among others while his mother is Croatian by the name Dorita Carvajal. His cousin Carlos also plays soccer. As a little boy, he admired his father for being a great player hence developing interest in playing the sport.
Beginnings as a Footballer:
He began his career in football at RCD Espanyol youth ranks before moving into FC Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy in the year 2007. Where he spent seven years acquiring skills that eventually made him one of the promising players from his age group.
Dinamo Zagreb:
In 2014, Dani Olmo joined Zagreb in Croatia and left FC Barcelona. He was only sixteen years old when he played his debut match at Croatian First League against Lokomotiva on February 7, 2015. In the season of 2017/18, he became one of Dinamo Zagreb’s first team players. On September twentieth two thousand and eighteen; Olmo marked his debut with both scoring and assisting goals against Fenerbahçe SK during Europa League Group stages and later that season he was voted as “Croatian Player” during those seasons ending December twenty eighteen. The hundredth official appearance for Dinamo Zagreb came on May fifteenth last year when best player and best young player awards were won by him respectively at end of that league season after which between July/August last year five champions’ league group stage qualifiers matches were played by him registering three goals plus three assists.
RB Leipzig:
On January 25, 2020, he signed a four-year contract with German club RB Leipzig. He made his debut on February 1 in a 2–2 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach, coming on in the 69th minute. His first goal came four days later where out to Eintracht Frankfurt he scored a goal as they lost by three goals to one in DFB-Pokal. His first start happened on the ninth day of February two thousand twenty during the Bayern Munich’s match that ended up goalless. On June twelfth this year, he netted twice during their game against Hoffenheim which led them win 2-0. His opening goal on August thirteenth saw Leipzig win 2-1 over Atletico Madrid taking them to their first ever semi-final of Champions League competition. In the seasons of 2021/22, Olmo was present in four DFB-Pokal matches recording a single score at round sixteen with Hansa Rostock resulting into a 2-0 victory for RB Leipzig and at Final where SC Freiburg drew one all and won against them after penalties thus becoming his team’s substitute player last May twenty-first (final) when they won one each before going to penalty shootouts for him once more as well as being part of it during final match held on twenty-one May at which time Leipzig beat Bricklayers FC while scoring once but losing five goals respectively in DFL-Supercup played versus Bayern Munich that took place this August twelfth whereby he collected those points winning their side with all goals against opponents that day
National Team Career:
For Spain U16, U17, and U18 teams, he was an international. Luis de la Fuente called him up in October 2018 to play two games for the under-21 team.
On matchday 2 of the U-21 European Championship on June 19, he scored his first goal for the under-21s in a 2–1 victory over Belgium. In addition, he scored against France on June 26 helping his side win with a score of 4–1. On June 30th, he scored another goal leading Spain to a final victory against Germany by a margin of two goals to one and was also named as the best player in that final game. He started qualifying for the 2021 U-21 European Championship as captain, scoring three goals in each of their away matches against Kazakhstan (0-1) and Montenegro (2-0). Malta and Romania are scheduled to host Eurocup qualifying matches between November 8th and November 20th respectively.
Olmo debuted on November 15th before Malta where he netted the fifth straight goal after coming in as a substitute of Álvaro Morata within an hour to ensure Spain thrashed Malta by seven.
Costa Rica conceded his first international goal at Qatar World Cup in March, 2022, which marked Spain's hundredth ever at World Cups. Sunday July14th ,2024 witnessed Nico Williams'and Oyarzabal's goals help spain beat England as they secured their fourth European championship .Dani Olmo became top scorer at Eurocup with three goals: one against Georgia in round sixteen; another versus Germany during quarter-finals; and finally one during semi-finals which helped them win this match thereby reaching finals. Moreover, deciding factors were considered when England almost equalized but Olmo saved it from becoming reality.

Being Laura Schmitt’s boyfriend, they got married in 2022.

Spanish striker is popular for his multipurpose character and frequent scoring in critical moments. He was brought up at La Masia, which he left to the impressive Dinamo Zagreb ahead of joining Leipzig in 2020.
