Aitana was born on June 27, 1999 in Sant Climent de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain.

Family:

The only daughter of Cosme Ocaña and Belén Morales.

Training:

He went to primary and high school within his hometown. After completing high school, he began studying graphic design at the University of Barcelona . In 2017, He dropped out of university to pursue his artistic career.

Beginnings of Aitana:

Her love for music started early in her life. She took part in school activities and local shows during her childhood and Youth as well. Her sweet voice and melodic style stood out.

It was not until 2014 that she began covering popular songs on YouTube. Also in the same year, she wrote some of her own songs which were later recorded such as Laws about me , released on August 12th , 2015 through YouTube.One of the people who influence her the most is Thomas J. Bergerson from Norway.

Aitana gained fame in 2017 when she featured among the participants in the ninth edition of Operación Triunfon . In spite of not having any professional musical training before then ,Aitana caught the eye of both the judges and the public due to her natural talent and charisma.. She finished as runner-up but it did not slow down her career growth.

She was one of six candidates to represent Spain at Eurovision Song Contest 2018: Lo Malo – a duet with Ana Guerra or Arde – alone. Lo Malo became one of biggest hits this season and a defining moment for her career too.

Singer's Career:

She signed with Universal Music record label after her time in Operation Triumph, which was the best thing that happened to her career. In 2018 she released her first single called Telephone which went straight up to number one in Spain. That same year she published the EP Trailer, a kind of prequel to her first album Spoiler (2019), composed of songs about love, heartbreak and personal growth, which became a sales success and positioned her as an artist in the Spanish music industry; hits like Nada sale mal (Nothing goes wrong) or Vas a quedarate (You will stay) became anthems for fans. The production received good reviews for the artistic maturity shown by such young singers.

11 Razones is the title of Aitana’s second studio album released in 2020. The eighties are back but this time with more freshness and pop according to some critics who have listened to these eleven songs that make up this record where there is also clear influence from those years’ music but adapted into nowadays sounds . It includes collaborations like Corazón sin vida ft Sebastián Yatra , which has been number one in Spain for weeks.

In 2023 Alpha comes out , an electro pop and house album with fifteen tracks (five singles). It was chosen as best female spanish album of the year by Rolling Stone magazine .

She has worked together with many famous artists such as David Bisbal , with whom she released Si tú la quieres . Her versatility allows her to sing in different styles ranging from reggaeton to pop without ever losing own essence.

Aitana,s awards:

Recognitions include Ondas Award among others; MTV Europe Music Awards best spanish artist, six Odeon Awards, eight Los 40 Music Awards . She has also been nominated twice at Latin Grammy Awards including Best New Artist category .

Musician had international recognition thanks mainly due to the impact achieved through songs like Los Ángeles , Mon Amour or Formentera which were worldwide hits especially in Latin America and Europe .

Actress:

In 2022 Aitana made her acting debut being the lead character of Disney+ series La última , a drama-musical production that tells the story about a young girl who dreams of becoming a pop star. Additionally she has worked as an ambassador for various international brands such as McDonald’s, Inditex, Tous, Coca Cola or Yves Saint Laurent among others.

She was also a coach on the sixth edition of La Voz Kids Spain and teacher on seventh & eighth editions.

Personal Life of Aitana :

In 2019, she started dating elite actor Miguel Bernardio. They moved in together in September 2021, however, their relationship ended in 2022 and early 2023 due to past issues.
