She is the daughter of Kelly Navarro and Ben Navarro. Emma's father Ben Navarro is billionaire as he is founder and CEO of Sherman Financial Group & owner of Credit One Bank.  She has four siblings and her brother Eduardo Navarro is also an athlete as he is a golf player. The Navarro family is known for its athletic talent. Her father Ben Navarro is also owner of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

She has Italian ancestry as she is the granddaughter of former American football player and coach Frank Navarro.

Education of Emma Navarro:

Emma goes to Ashley Hall, one of private girl’s schools downtown in Charleston, South Carolina. Along with her studies she also started to get tennis training. She completed her secondary education in the same school. Later, Emma got admission in University of Virginia to study the Arts and Sciences.

Debut in Tennis: 

In 2019 Emma Navarro finished runner-up in the singles draw at the French Open Junior. Also, she won the same tournament in the doubles category with partner Chole Beck. In the same year, this team was also runner-up at Australian Open Junior

In 2019, She also received a wild card for participating in the single and doubles events. After, Emma made her WTA tour main draw debut at the Charleston Open as well. 

Joining of Virginia Cavaliers:

Emma initially was committed to Duke but later she became part of the Virginia Cavaliers in the fall of 2020. As a fresher, she compiled a 25-1 single record and ranked as No.1 nationally. In the singles championship of 2021 she defeated Estela Perez-Somarriba in the final of the 2021 NCAA. In doubles she reached semifinals alongside Rosie Johanson.

Grand Slam Tournaments

In 2021, Emma Navarro got the Wild Card into the US Open after winning in the NCAA. She was named as ITA Rookie of the Year & Honda Sports Award finalist and made her debut in the Grand Slam.

In 2022, during her sophomore year,  Emma scored 26-2 in NCAA single championship and achieved 2nd Rank, losing against Abigail Rencheli in the round of 16. Once again she was a finalist for the Honda Sports Award. After her Sophomore season she left Virginia. 

Achievements in 2023: 

In the US Open 2023, she made her debut in Grand Slam tournaments main-draw and reached the third round. In this tournament the Iga Świątek was also participates. Navarro also scored her major win in the French Open by defeating Erika Andreeva. Later, Emma also reached the semifinals of the WTA Tour tournament.at Bad Homburg Open. She reached the No. 49 after the great performance in the US Open for first-round and San Diego Open performance in Semifinal on 18 September 2023. 

In the same year, she became the 3rd American after Alycia Parks and Peyton to reach the top 50. She closed this season at the position of No.38 in the singles rankings as her best annual position till to date.

Achievements in 2024: 

In the year 2024, she started her professional tennis by reaching the semifinals of the Auckland Classic, where she beat the seventh seed Petra Matric. There was another achievement by reaching the semifinals at the Hobart International where she beat the opponent in three sets. In this tournament Emma reached her first WTA Tour final by beating China's Yun Yue and two time Hobart champion Elise mertens. 

At the Australian Open , she was ranked for the first time at a Grand Slam, No. 27. After reaching this stage, she moved into the top 25 in the WTA's rankings where she attained the number 23 position on 29 January 2024.

At the San Diego Open , seeded third , she made it all the way to the semi - finals. At Indian Wells, seated as twenty-third, she made it to the fourth round and then pulled off her greatest ranking upset by taking out Aryna Sabalanka into the last 8 of her first WTA 1000 event. Because of this achievement, she entered the top 20 in the world rankings.

At the Miami Open, where she was rank twenty, she similarly advanced to the fourth round. Navarro reached the fourth round of a major tournament for the first time at the French Open against Madison Keys and lost to Aryna Sabalenka subsequently adding to the words high cease at No. 17 on June 10 2024.

At Wimbledon she scored four consecutive wins over Wang Qiang , Naomi Osaka and Diana Shnaider and World No 2 Cogo Gafo in the quest for her first quarter-final at grade slam before losing to Jasmine Paolini.
